Plasma Bio Filler

The aging process reduces collagen and elasticity and modify volumes on our face.

Not everyone is keen on using traditional fillers as they are perceived as foreign "chemical" preparation.

Organic Biofiller is the perfect solution for those who desire a natural treatment that improves and restores volumes but at the same time stimulates collagen.

Organic Autologous Plasma Bio Filler or simply Biofiller consists in injections of a gel derived from the patient’s own blood reducing this way any risk of allergic reactions.

What Is It?

Bio Filler can be prepared and injected for wrinkle augmentation during the same appointment, the all procedure lasting around 90mins. This Bio-filler Gel can be used to augment fine lines and wrinkles as well as to give definition to different areas of the face. Bio Filler is made by separating and processing the plasma from patient’s own blood and in then, injecting it to volumise, lift, and rejuvenate face, neck and hands. Bio Filler has the same color and form as autologous fat. Bio Filler is processed in front of the client to create the perfect viscosity required for any area being worked on.

The Treatment

During the appointment we will take between 10 and 20 ml blood which is turn centrifuged, filtered and  processed to create the Platelet Rich Plasma and then the Bio Filler. Bio Filler will be injected to treat wrinkles and lines and to lift and rejuvenate areas that have suffered volume loss. This treatment also achieves bio-stimulation with stem cells and growth factors producing collagen. The first results are visible immediately after the treatment and effects of the neocollagenesis production can be seen after a couple of weeks. The viscous plasma gel gives immediate significant volumetric filling effect maintained for 3–6 months.

Because of the autologous nature, plasma bio-filler treatments are in general better accepted by patients than the high density hyaluronic acid fillers. Bio-filler gel injections as a dermal filler are a cost‐effective, well‐tolerated, and simple nonsurgical clinic procedure. The material is easily obtained from the patient’s own blood, and therefore, any risks of immunogenic reactions or disease transmission are eliminated.

Bio Filler has been also validated by Clinical Trials that demonstrate the safety and efficacy of this procedure in improving lines and folds in the face. These studies suggested that the continual release of growth factors from trapped platelets at the injection site may be responsible for the sustained therapeutic effects of plasma gel for several months after the treatment session (Man D. et al). They also demonstrated further properties of bio-filler such as new collagen stimulation and skin tightening effect.

Abstract

BACKGROUND:

Recently, the efficacy of autologous plasma filler for the reduction of facial wrinkles has been demonstrated.

OBJECTIVE:

The aim of our study is to validate the efficacy and safety of autologous plasma filler in treating nasolabial fold wrinkles.

MATERIAL AND METHODS:

Twenty Korean patients with moderate-to-severe nasolabial fold wrinkles were enrolled. The patients were treated with one session of autologous plasma filler. The wrinkle improvement effects were evaluated at 1-week, 4-week, 8-week, and 12-week after the treatment. Three assessment methods were applied. First, two independent dermatologists assessed cosmetic results using a 5-point wrinkle assessment scale. Second, global aesthetic improvement score was used for assessment of the final cosmetic results. Third, patient satisfaction was surveyed. Also, the adverse effects associated to treatment were observed.

RESULTS:

Mean age of the patients was 44.5 years. The average 5-point wrinkle assessment scale score was significantly improved at 1, 4, 8, and 12 weeks after treatment, comparing to before treatment (p <0.01). The patients' average global aesthetic improvement score also indicated better cosmetic outcomes.

CONCLUSION:

The clinical improvement with sufficient patients' satisfaction and no significant adverse events demonstrated that novel autologous plasma filler could be considered as efficient and safety treatment option for nasolabial fold wrinkles.
